Highlights of the 2010-2011 season include a retrospective of the Op. 74 Haydn Quartets and works by Czech masters Janacek and Dvorak, along with appearances with the great soprano Lucy Shelton.

Hear members of the Muir Quartet alongside renowned guests Alexander Fiterstein, Michele Levin and others at the Montana Chamber Music Festival, July 11-30, 2011, and at the Fredericksburg Festival June 6-10, 2011, with guests Lucy Shelton and John Ferrillo, principal oboist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

The Muir performs and teaches at the Deer Valley Festival July 11-30, 2011, with concerts at Deer Valley and in Park City in collaboration with eminent composer Joan Tower. The Deer Valley Festival supports the Emerging Quartets and Composers program, where emerging quartets are taught advanced quartet and business skills alongside Joan Tower’s protégé composers. New works are written by each emerging composer for their counterpart quartet.
